“We generally believe we have a reasonable idea about colours that would suit our home.  I have recently redecorated my Regency house from top to bottom.  Having lived here for 20 years I decided for the first to take advice.”

“Tricia Douglas was recommended to me and what a fabulous job she has done with colours I would never have dreamt of using.  Together with new curtains, blinds and flooring my house has been transformed!”

RECENT NEWS FROM TRICIA DOUGLAS

TRICIA DOUGLAS INTERIORS WINS BEST INTERIOR DESIGNER AT THE INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY AWARDS 2010.

It was an important and highly positive day for UK real estate on Saturday 27th November when leading property professionals gathered at the Lancaster London Hotel for the presentations of the UK Property Awards in association with Bloomberg Television.

One of these rightly proud winners is Tricia Douglas Interiors which has won in the category of Interior Design. The fact that Tricia Douglas Interiors has won one of these coveted awards is proof that Yorkshire has proved capable of triumphing within the highly competitive UK property arena.

Stuart Shield, chairman of the International Property Awards says, “In our quest to find the most outstanding projects and property professionals from around the world we were fascinated to discover that the total value of the award winning projects was over $100 billion. This helps to contrast with the ‘Bear’ market approach to the property market in general. There are some incredibly strong roots being established for the future growth and generation of properties that are more attractive to look at, safer, kinder to the environment, smarter and able to deliver a better quality of life for those who live and work in them.”

Much of the judging was carried by the International Property Awards’ panel of judges at the London offices of Bloomberg Television but entries were also outsourced to leading experts in each particular field throughout the world. This year’s judges included Luke McKend, industry head property markets of Google UK; Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals; Christopher Hall, president elect of FIABCI; Thijs Stoffer, International Consortium of Real Estate Agents Association (ICREA); Fiona Nixon, chairman of the Australia Institute of Architects, Hendrik Nelde, president of FIABCI Belgium; Helen Shield, editor-in-chief of International Homes Luxury Collection magazine and Sven Johns, CEO of the German Real Estate Association.

Tricia Douglas said of winning the Yorkshire Region Interior Design Award, , “It is wonderful to be recognised with such a prestigious award against very strong competition. Accolades from satisfied clients are always a pleasure but wider recognition from within the industry is an added boost to all of us who have worked so hard to build the company up to where it stands today.”
