With exclusive destination venues already established in Amsterdam, LA and Singapore supperclub has finally opened a London spot.
Your evening begins as you pass through impressive double doors leading into Bar Rouge – a sumptuous take on a classic hotel bar. This is where patrons meet for a pre-dinner drink and suss out the crowd. When the kitchen is ready for dinner (around 8pm), frosted glass doors slide open and diners are ushered into the vast Salle Neige, a sheer white space and the center of the dining concept.
The diner menu is priced at £50 for four courses and is very much of a modern, fine-dining persuasion. Dishes like the roasted scallop and butternut squash with soya glazed bokchoi, lemon grass and Thai basil froth is a prime example. The menu is headed up by Renaud Marin
Dinner is interspersed with off-the-wall entertainment before the warehouse-style room transforms into a full-on nightclub. Pretentious, but bloody good fun.
Supperclub are renowned for creating adult playgrounds through a bizarre mix of eccentric performance and outlandish dressing-up. So don’t be surprised to see a blindfolded female dancer, attached by a long rope to the ceiling, performing wacky dance moves that clears a space of several feet in any one direction, or a scantily clad waif tied to a pillar with only masking tape to maintain a modicum of modesty.
